Bagged 1996 Volvo 850R Wagon on BBS GT2 Magnesium Wheels
There are some iconic cars that look just right in a certain color, like a black Mercedes 190 Evolution, blue Subaru Impreza WRX STi and red Volvo 850R. There is one thing in common between all these cars – they are performance editions of the mass-production models.
Volvo 850R is well known to all fans of European cars, as it was one of the coolest and fastest performance cars of this brand back in the 90s. The car was available in two body styles: sedan and station wagon (Estate), and while sedans were expected to become more popular, the 850R station wagon became a real hit among Volvo fans worldwide.
The R version featured a turbocharged 2.3L B5234T4 5-cylinder engine that produced 250HP and 350 ft/lb of torque which was a big deal back in the day. Except for the engine, it was equipped with a heavy-duty 5-speed manual transmission and an LSD rear differential, which allowed the drivers to have some fun at the track and in the snow.

Scott Irving, a big fan of the Swedish cars and the owner of this iconic red Volvo 850R station wagon decided not to settle with stock and enhance the looks and performance of his turbo brick. Among the main upgrades on the car are Porsche 993 TT 4 piston Brake caliper upgrade- 330mm Volvo S60R discs, OBX 3-inch exhaust, Do88 Drop-In Intercooler and Rip Kit.

The car sits low on Air Lift 3P air suspension and a set of unique 18×8.5j Forged Magnesium BBS GT2 custom wheels from Ferrari 355 Challenge. Thanks to the full glass out respray the car looks super mint and clean on the new wheels and low stance.
